“Joe is such a blessing to our family! He has brought a wealth of knowledge in dog psychology to our training sessions. ”

 — Candice McAfee
An image of a white dog walking on a loose leash to showcase the type of dog training dog trainer Joe can accomplish through his in-home dog training sessions in Cincinnati and Liberty Township area.

“My intention in hiring Joe was to help with basic obedience for a new puppy that we adopted. Not only has the training been FANTASTIC for the new puppy, but also for my senior dog who I was convinced was too set in her ways to be open to training. Traditionally my older dog Scout pulled on the leash, was reactive to dogs when we were out walking but with Joe’s techniques and in just two sessions I have BOTH dogs walking really well on the leash. It doesn’t matter what age your dog is, Joe can get them to where they need to be!”

- Andi Dough

“Working with Joe has completely transformed our dog’s disposition. Before training, our pup was anxious and reactive—but now, he’s calm, content, and genuinely happy.”

These are real videos of my clients showing real results, and often in one session. But watch the person holding the leash, too. That’s the part I teach.

  • Dog Walking Before Training

This is what happens when you stop guessing and start understanding what your dog needs. Chance is six months old. He's never been on a walk. Not pulling ahead, not excited, just frozen. Resisting. No idea what to do. His owner is gently trying to move a puppy who's completely overwhelmed (sound familiar?). Not a sad video. A starting line.

This links to a video of a 6 month old puppy Chance dragging the leash, unable to walk properly.
  • Dog Walking After Training

Same dog. Same leash. After working with me. Chance used to freeze on walks. Now he's walking, prancing, finally draining all that energy he'd been holding onto. Calm. Balanced. Like someone lifted a weight off his shoulders (and off his owner's, too). This is the happy part.
PS: Note how much the behavior of the owner affects the speed of learning.

This video shows a dog named Chance walking with a loose leash after dog training with Joe in Cincinnati and West Chester area.

The walk finally clicks. Everything starts to feel different.

Dave learned how to get the loose-leash walk he's always wanted, and now he's putting it to work on real streets, through crossings, distractions, and those moments when his dog loses focus. He's not waiting for his dog to behave. He knows what to do. And that's why Dave is officially a member of the Loose Leash Club.
